Concert in Memory of Gennaro Sannino
"The Italian Bass"
In a fascinating musical tribute, the Bass Massimo Modoni and the Irish pianist Brian Hughes will dedicate their next concert program to Gennaro Sannino, a famous Italian pianist and composer.
In this musical homage, Brian and Massimo have been inspired by the figure of Francesco Navarini, a renowned Italian bass, who performed the premieres of famous Verdi and Puccini operas such as "Simon Boccanegra", "Don Carlos", and "La Bohème".
This event, hosted by the Sannino family, represents an intimate and emotional journey through music, celebrating the rich heritage of Italian Opera. Brian and Massimo will perform, in addition to the great operatic repertoire, also an unpublished piece composed by Gennaro Sannino in 1929 with lyrics by S. Nurisio.
