We are delighted to welcome italian soprano Raffaella Milanesi in an exiting masterclass on the art of Recitativo. Raffaella will guide our students in understanding the subtle use “decimated words” in XVII and XVIII century music, and explore the evolution of recitatives across the early XIX century Belcanto Period.
Each Student will be invited to work on a scene from a Baroque opera of their choice, including a significant recitative, and a scene from a Mozart or Italian Belcanto aria, also featuring a prominent recitative.
