Matthew is in his first year studying Collaborative Piano at the Royal College of Music. He currently studies with Simon Lepper, Roger Vignoles, and Kathron Sturrock.

He previously studied at Christ Church, Oxford, graduating with...in music. Whilst at Oxford, he held academic and instrumental scholarships. He studied for three years with Anna Tilbrook.

Matthew is in his third year studying Music at Christ Church, where he holds an academic scholarship and the William Ewald Exhibition, an award for outstanding instrumentalists.

Has performed as a soloist and accompanist at the Holywell Music Room, the Sheldonian Theatre, and Christ Church Cathedral. In 2024 he made his concerto debut playing Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor with Oxford University Philharmonia.

Whilst based in Oxford, Matthew has performed as a soloist at the Holywell Music Room, the Sheldonian Theatre, and Christ Church Cathedral, performing works by Mozart, Scriabin, Ravel, and others. He also frequently performs as a chamber musician and accompanist, an area he wishes to specialise in. In 2022, Matthew was chosen to accompany Anthony Roth Costanzo for part of his recital as a visiting fellow at the Queens’ College, and he performed as an accompanist at the 2023 Encaenia Dinner. He has also played piano and celeste in the Oxford University Orchestra and has repetiteured for productions of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro and Don Giovanni by the Oxford Opera Society and the Oxford Student Opera Society respectively.
