Fionn Ó hAlmhain is a German-born bass who grew up in Ireland and is now based in London. He completed a BMus at the TU Dublin Conservatoire and studied singing with Dr. Robert Alderson. He is an alumnus of the Glyndebourne Academy where he was nominated for the Gus Christie Award.

He has performed across Ireland and the UK, including work with the Blackwater Valley Opera Festival, Irish National Opera, Opera Collective Ireland, the Salford Choral Society and Piccadilly Symphony Orchestra.

Fionn is now undertaking an MA at the Royal Academy of Music under Professor Mark Wildmann  and is a recipient of the Elton John Scholarship. He has also been accepted into the Royal Academy Opera school following auditions before Christmas with a full scholarship and will be taking leading bass roles in the academy operas for the next two years.

In the UK he appeared as Sarastro for Clonter opera and as a bass Soloist in many oratorios from Market Drayton and Manchester in the north to London. These include Handel's Messiah, Verdi's Requiem, Buxtehude's Cantata cycle, Membra Nostri Jesu and many others.

He will be making his debut as Sparafucile with New Opera Singapore this summer and shortly after will make his debut with the London Handel players, singing several roles in the fairy queen by Purcell.
